Musculoskeletal pain continues to be a problem in the workplace. Causation and etiology remain elusive despite current research. Prevention programs have demonstrated the best opportunity to reduce incidence, severity, and costs. Estimates place the current cost at over $1.26 trillion dollars per year for work-related injuries and illnesses. Management of these injuries and illnesses has become a national priority for government, business, and employees. The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) recognizes that addressing a problem of such magnitude requires coordination and cooperation. Map Managers, Inc was formed to help employers and employees identify individual and job risk factors, to develop effective intervention programs, while improving the quality of life for the individual and improving the bottom line for the employer.Musculoskeletal pain continues to be a problem in the workplace. MAP Managers Inc. was formed in 1990 in response to the need for a better understanding for the cause of workplace pain. Pain is common with daily activities, but certain pains may indicated that the body's systems are being over-worked. Determining which pain is which can be difficult for the individual and employer. Efforts to identify individual risk factors for age, gender, inherited characteristic, and biosocial issues have been successful. This information has lead to a better understanding who is more likely to have musculoskeletal pain. But when reviewing population based data, only answered part of the questions as to who will have musculoskeletal pain in the workplace. Government collected data shows an association between workplace pain and certain jobs. When job data and individual risk are combined, the picture for who, what, when, and where for musculoskeletal pain in workplace becomes clearer. By analyzing the data and development of individual and job risk assessing instruments, MAP Managers has become a leading in occupational interventions programs in the workplace. These interventions programs have improved the quality of life for the individual employee and has improved the employer's production. Why not join are team today and experience the benefits of a win-win program?
